Smithing Smithing

Smithing is a production skill that allows players to smelt ores into bars at a furnace and forge those bars into weapons and armor at an anvil.

Getting Started

Smithing has two components:

  1. Smelting: Use a furnace to convert ores into metal bars
  2. Forging: Use an anvil to craft bars into equipment

Smelting

Use a furnace to smelt ores into bars. Each bar type requires a minimum Smithing level.

Training Tips

  1. Levels 1-10: Smelt Bronze BarBronze Bar and smith Bronze equipment. Focus on swords first as they only need 1 bar.
  2. Levels 10-20: Switch to Iron BarIron Bar smelting and smithing. The XP doubles compared to Bronze.
  3. Levels 20-30: Work with Mithril BarMithril Bar for better XP rates.
  4. Levels 30+: Adamant BarAdamant Bar provides the best XP but requires significant material investment.

Time Efficiency

  • Smelting: 3 seconds per bar
  • Smithing: 5 seconds per item

All smithing operations can be queued - select the item to craft, choose a quantity, and your character will continue until materials run out or you cancel.
