Smithing

Smithing is a production skill that allows players to smelt ores into bars at a furnace and forge those bars into weapons and armor at an anvil.

Getting Started

Smithing has two components:

1. Smelting: Use a furnace to convert ores into metal bars
2. Forging: Use an anvil to craft bars into equipment

Smelting

Use a furnace to smelt ores into bars. Each bar type requires a minimum Smithing level.

Training Tips

1. Levels 1-15: Smelt Bronze Bar and smith Bronze equipment. Focus on swords first as they only need 1 bar.
2. Levels 15-30: Switch to Iron Bar smelting and smithing.
3. Levels 30-45: Work with Mithril Bar for better XP rates.
4. Levels 45-60: Adamant Bar provides strong XP gains.
5. Levels 60-75: Smelt Viridium Bar and forge Viridium equipment.
6. Level 75+: Emberite Bar gives the best XP but requires significant material investment.

Time Efficiency

• Smelting: varies by bar tier (4s–9s per bar)
• Smithing: 10 seconds per item

All smithing operations can be queued - select the item to craft, choose a quantity, and your character will continue until materials run out or you cancel.
