Smelting

Smelting converts raw ores into metal bars at a furnace. Smelting uses your Smithing level, awards Smithing XP, and supplies bars for Smithing and Fletching.

Getting Started

Bring the required ores to a furnace, open its interface, choose a bar, and start crafting. Each recipe produces one bar.

Smelting Recipes

All bars are smelted at a furnace. Levels and XP below are for Smithing.

Furnaces

The First Steps tutorial leads you to the furnace beside the Blacksmith. Every furnace opens the same Smelting recipe list.

Training Tips

1. Mine your own ores: Train Mining while gathering Smelting supplies.
2. Smelt in batches: Queue multiple bars instead of restarting the furnace after each one.
3. Use new unlocks: Higher-level bars award more Smithing XP per bar.
4. Plan your Smithing: Check equipment recipes before deciding how many bars to make.
