Experience

Experience (XP) is the primary measure of progression in Legend of Taria. Each skill has its own experience pool and you earn XP by performing actions related to that skill. For example, melee XP comes from dealing damage with melee weapons, mining XP from breaking rocks, cooking XP from cooking food, and so on.

When you accumulate enough XP in a skill, you level up, granting improved capabilities or unlocks tied to that skill. Most XP gains are instant and tied to a specific action; some skills may give passive XP over time (e.g. Health and defense during combat).

Gaining XP

Combat skills: Earn XP by defeating monsters, using abilities, or taking/inflicting damage.
Gathering skills: Gather resources like ores, logs, or fish to earn XP per item collected.
Crafting skills: Craft items (e.g. smelting bars, cooking food) to gain XP based on the item produced.
Miscellaneous: Certain actions like completing quests or using special items may award bonus XP.

Each skill page on the wiki details the specific actions that grant XP for that skill.
