Controls
This page covers the controls for Legends of Taria.
Mobile Controls
Movement
Use the virtual joystick on the left side of the screen to move your character in any direction.
Hotbar
Tap any hotbar slot at the bottom of the screen to select that item. The selected item will be used for your next interaction.
Interaction
When you're near an interactable object (NPCs, rocks, fishing spots, enemies, etc.), an interact button will appear on screen near the object. Tap the button to interact with it.
- Standing near an NPC shows a talk button
- Standing near a rock with a pickaxe selected shows a mine button
- Standing near an enemy shows an attack button
- Standing near a fishing spot with a rod selected shows a fish button

You can also click to move, just like on mobile.
Hotbar
The hotbar contains your most important items like weapons, tools, and food. Use number keys to quickly select items:

You can also click on hotbar slots to select them.
Interaction
Desktop uses the same interaction system as mobile. When you're near an interactable object, an interact button appears on screen. Click the button or press the spacebar to interact.

Type your message and press Enter to send.
Tips
- Hotbar is key: Keep your weapon, pickaxe, fishing rod, and food in your hotbar for quick access
- Walk to interact: You need to be close to objects and NPCs to interact with them
- Tap and hold: On mobile, tap and hold to continuously move in a direction
